Following the first Christian death, a great persecution broke out.
Also in this chapter we see ministry by the disciples to individual people. Peter and John to Simon the Sorcerer speaking right to his heart. Philip to the Ethiopian eunuch. Here Philip interprets prophecy from Isaiah in light of how Jesus died. It is very important for us to understand the New Testament using the Old Testament.
